Kalaburagi: Sleuths of the Internal Security Wing continued questioning three journalists, including the editor of a local Urdu daily in Kalaburagi, on Friday at an undisclosed location in Kalaburagi. However, senior officials told that they are yet to establish or find any substantial information or evidence against the three, who were picked up after the arrest of 22-year-old Mohammed Hussain in Belagavi on Tuesday night. He was arrested on charge of sedition after he allegedly videographed security checkpoints at the Sambra airport and also had footage of other sensitive high security locations in the State.

As per reports available, the call records of the three journalists are being verified and based on them a few more people have been informally questioned. The local police personnel are being kept away from the interrogation. A senior police official claimed that clarity in the matter could be expected on Saturday and a few persons may be produced before the court after being formally charged. While declining to share any information on the matter, Police Commissioner S. Ravi said “investigations are under way”. He said the Belagavi police had handed over Mohammed Hussain to Kalaburagi police.
