1,234 kg of PDS rice seized

Tiruvarur: An anti-hoarding and anti-smuggling initiative launched in Tiruvarur district helped in the seizure of 1,234 kg of ration rice, 108 litres of kerosene, and 10 domestic LPG cylinders during the month of June. 6 held under illegal sale of IMFL liquor

Thiruvarur: The Prohibition Enforcement Wing police personnel conducted surprise checks in various parts of the district and arrested six persons on charge of illegally selling IMFL liquor. The police conducted checks in Vadapadhimangalam, Melamaruthur, Kandankudi check post, and Injikudi railway station and arrested them. A total of 93 IMFL bottles were seized.
